Mark Trimble was successful in trying a case in the Miami County Court of Common Pleas in October, 2024. This case proceeded to trial on liability only. The allegations were that the Defendant/Mark’s client was operating a vehicle westbound on Ash Street or US 36 in Piqua, Ohio, without her lights on at 10:30 at night. The Plaintiff was eastbound on Ash Street and made a left hand turn in front of the Defendant. This area had several street lights and was extremely lit from various restaurants and businesses. The jury returned a comparative fault verdict citing the Plaintiff 51% negligent to Mark’s client’s 49% negligence. As such, the jury found in favor of the Defendant.
